Krewe Members had a great time last night at our Annual Awards Banquet and DVD Viewing held at Cité des Arts followed by a night of celebration at Jefferson Street Library. Congratulations to the recipients of the following awards:

Costume Awards:
• Captain’s Costume Award: Michael McIntosh as The Liberace Museum
• Co-Captain’s Costume Award: Mark Melancon as The Broadway Museum
• Lieutenant’s Costume Award: Kevin Doerr as The Walters Art Museum (Gatchina Palace Fabergé Egg) and Dailey Thibeaux as Save The Arts
• President’s Costume Award: Ross Doize as The Insectarium (Beetles)
• Bob Pastor Costume Award: Ben Boudreaux as The Grand Egyptian Museum

Krewe Membership Awards:
• Friends of Apollo: Abigail Kleinpeter and Eugene Kwarteng
• Outstanding First Year Members: Cameryn Nezat and Cullen Gravouia
• Outstanding Member and Member: Doug Taylor and Jay Frost
• Outstanding Member: Aaron Dufrene
• Outstanding Table Decorations: Dale Babin and Doug Taylor
• Taylor Viator Dance Award: Garry Breaux
• Captain and President’s Special Award: Taylor Dizor
• Dickie Torres Memorial Award: Keith Faulk

In addition to the above awards, The Mystic Krewe of Apollo de Lafayette donated $2,500 each to The Acadiana Queer Collective and Acadiana CARES.

Finally, our King and Queen Apollo XLIX, Grant Mire and Robert Gay, were presented with a Proclamation and Ceremonial Keys to the City from Monique Blanco Boulet, Lafayette Parish Mayor-President, presented by Vincent Pierre, the Municipal and Constitute Services Advisor.
